This depends on where you plan to sell your products. When we refer to UK or EU regulations, we are talking about Self Tanning Mousse and Professional Solutions. All other products are suitable for all markets.

The UK has no specific rules, so if you are targeting the UK market, you can stock products with higher levels of DHA. In the EU, including Northern Ireland, there is a 10% cap on DHA levels. If you plan to sell into those areas, you must follow EU regulations for Self Tanning Mousses and Solutions.

Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is the active ingredient in sunless tanning products. It reacts with amino acids in the outer layer of your skin through the Maillard reaction, creating brown pigments that give a natural-looking tan.

Choosing the correct shade is essential. A shade that is too dark can lead to uneven fading and a patchy appearance. Selecting the right tone for your skin ensures a smoother, longer-lasting result.

The opening order MOQ is 96 units, which can be split into 2 x 48 units of similar product types. Each additional product also has a minimum of 48 units.

This aligns with label production requirements, as the minimum print run is 50 labels per design.

In some cases, smaller quantities such as 24 units may be available with an additional label charge, typically around £40 plus VAT, depending on the product.

Every brand is different, but most first-time brands start with two tanning mousse shades and a third or fourth product.

We will guide you based on your preferences and your short, medium and long-term plans to help keep your brand fresh and scalable.
